PFLUGERVILLE, TX -- Police last week discovered a 36-year-old woman and 7-year-old boy locked inside a storage unit containing drugs, paraphernalia and an assault rifle, according to newly released court documents.
CBS Austin reports that police responded to a 911 call Aug. 11. reporting a man smelling of urine who was sleeping inside a Pflugerville storage unitwhile holding onto an assault rifle. When cops arrived to the 15800 block of Foothill Farms Loop, they detected a strong odor of ammonia coming from a locked storage unit, the news station reported.
Unlocking the unit, police found Carissa Esther Chancey and the boy on the floor, a black assault rifle leaning against the back wall of the unit. The 3'X4' storage unit reeked of urine, and several rats milled around, according to court documents. Also, a plastic bag containing marijuana, two improved smoking pipes, and several syringes -- one containing methamphetamine -- were found in the unit, the station reported.
