Woman Arrested After Pointing Weapon At UT-Austin Student

Campus police were called at around 8:22 p.m. to the 2300 block of Leon Street close to campus after victim called police for help.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — A woman was arrested Friday night after being accused of pointing a weapon at a University of Texas at Austin student in the West Campus area, police said.

Campus police were called at around 8:22 p.m. to the 2300 block of Leon Street. Police said the woman grabbed the victim while pointing a gun at him, prompting the student to flee and call police from a friend's home, officials said.

Police were able to locate the accused woman mere minutes after the police call was made. Charges against the woman are pending.
