NORTH AUSTIN, TX — A woman was arrested after allegedly setting fire to a portion of a group home when she was denied cigarettes, according to reports.

Francine Almond, 55, is said to have become enraged when she was denied smoking at Hannah's Place at 7308 Cameron Rd., a group home for people of limited mental capacity, according to a KVUE report. After Almond was directed to go on the porch, a fire was detected on the front entrance of the facility as Almond was walking away from the building at around 10 p.m. on Friday, the newspaper reported in a report based on an arrest affidavit.

The fire is said to have scorched the front door of the home and melting plastic signs affixed to the front door. Almond reportedly walked to a bus stop in nearby Coronado Hills Drive, later said to have admitted setting the fire out of anger.
