Woman Charged With DWI Had Unrestrained Infant In Back Seat Of Car

Lakeshia Bryson, 33, was pulled over on Tuesday after her mother reported her to police for allegedly doing drugs inside vehicle.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — A woman charged with driving while intoxicated had an unrestrained infant in the back seat of her car when she was pulled over earlier this week, police said on Thursday.

Lakeshia Bryson, 33, was pulled over Tuesday at Johnny Morris Road at FM 969 just before 10 p.m., the Austin American-Statesman reported. The stop came after the woman's mother called police to alert them her daughter was doing drugs in her vehicle, the report noted while citing details of an arrest affidavit.

The mother also told police that Bryson was scheduled to pick her up from work that same evening but never showed up, according to the affidavit.
