Woman Dies After Being Thrown From Car In Northern Travis County
The woman lost control of her vehicle at around 3 a.m. Wednesday before slamming into a culvert, police said.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX -- A woman died after being thrown from a vehicle in a rollover crash in northern Travis County early Wednesday morning, according to emergency officials.
The wreck occurred on the Interstate 35 service road near Pflugerville, according to Austin-Travis County EMS officials. Medics were called to the 16000 block of the highway's northbound access road near Grand Avenue Parkway just before 3 a.m.
Police said the woman was headed north in a Pontiac Grand Am when she lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway and crashed into a culvert. The woman in her 40s had been thrown from the vehicle, and was pronounced dad at the scene.

The roadway was closed for an extended period of time as police investigated the crash, but has since been reopened.
