Woman Dies In Early Morning Traffic North Austin Wreck

A woman in her 30s was pronounced dead at Pond Springs Road near U.S. 183 that left four others injured.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — A woman was killed after crashing her car into another vehicle overnight this past Sunday in North Austin.

The collision occurred at U.S. 183 near Pond Springs Road at around 2 a.m. on Sunday, according to Austin-Travis County EMS medics. A female victim in her 30s was pronounced dead at the scene, medics said via Twitter.

The victim's name had not been released as of Monday.

Four others were rushed to the hospital as a result of the wreck: A man and woman transported to Round Rock Medical Center, and two children taken to the Dell Children's Medical Center, medics said. None of the other injuries were categorized as life-threatening, EMS officials said.

Its unclear what may have caused the fatal collision.
