Woman Dies In Northwest Austin Traffic Collision
Medics responding to 6900 block of North FM 620 Road Sunday morning found woman in her 20s dead at the scene, and a man injured.
AUSTIN, TEXAS — A woman died in a traffic accident in Northwest Austin on Sunday morning that also left a man seriously injured.
Austin-Travis County EMS medics responded to the 6900 block of North FM 620 Road at around 10 a.m. Sunday. There, they found a woman in her 20s dead at the scene. A man in his 40s was rushed to St. David's Round Rock Medical Center with injuries that, while serious, were not deemed to be life-threatening, medics said via Twitter.
Traffic traveling northbound on FM 620 was cut off between Steiner Ranch and RM 2222 in order to accommodate a police investigation. It's unclear what may have caused the accident or how many vehicles were involved in the collision. Dense fog descending in the area has made driving hazardous for some motorists, although it's unclear if this may have played a factor in the crash.
