Woman Rescued After Falling 20 To 30 Feet At Bull Creek Greenbelt
Woman in her 50s was hoisted with rigging equipment for extrication from ravine where she fell and injured herself.
AUSTIN, TX — Emergency crews rescued a woman over the weekend who fell from up to 30 feet down a ravine at the Bull Creek Greenbelt in the northwest part of the city.
The incident on Sunday morning left the victim, a woman in her 50s, injured after having walked along the 8800 block of Bull Hollow Drive just before 8:30 a.m., according to Austin-Travis County EMS.
As seen on photos posted on Twitter, the woman was hoisted up with rigging equipment to extricate her. Medics said she was transported to St. David's Round Rock Medical Center for injuries that were not deemed life-threatening.
