Woman's Body Found Near Creek In North Austin
Medics responded to Lake Creek Parkway late Thursday morning where they found the dead body near a creek.
NORTH AUSTIN, TEXAS — A woman's body was found in Northwest Austin near an Austin fire station, emergency officials said on Thursday.
Austin-Travis County EMS medics reported via Twitter described the dead woman as having been in her 40s. Her body was found along Lake Creek Parkway in a wooded near a creek, medics said. Reports indicate the body was found near a makeshift homeless camp.
Medics responded to the scene along the Lake Creek Parkway at around 11:22 a.m., according to their tweet. Police later said the death is not considered suspicious as they embarked on their investigation.
