Work At Wilbarger Park Set To Begin In Pflugerville
Work on the southwest corner of Kingston Lacy Boulevard and Craters of the Moon Boulevard is scheduled to begin the week of September 16.
PFLUGERVILLE, TX — Construction in a portion of Wilbarger Park is set to start next week, officials announced.
Work on the southwest corner of Kingston Lacy Boulevard and Craters of the Moon Boulevard is scheduled to begin the week of September 16. The park plan, approved by city council in March, will include playground areas, outdoor classroom space, a youth velo-way, a practice field, parking, trails and restrooms on 10.5 acres of the 104.42-acre park, officials detailed.
The youth velo-way, a cycling track for non-motorized wheeled vehicles, is the first of its kind in Pflugerville, according to parks officials. The site also provides opportunities for outdoor education, officials added, given its close proximity to Wilbarger Creek and acres of undeveloped parkland.
