• Richland High School mourns junior Wide Receiver Katron Walker killed in overnight car accident (wfaa.com) — North Richland Hills families at Richland High School are mourning junior wide receiver Katron Walker, who died in an overnight car crash after transferring to Birdville ISD in June. The district says grief counselors will be on campus to support students and staff as they process the sudden loss of the junior varsity football player.
   

• Man Sentenced for Trump Sniper Threat, Claimed Protected Speech (internewscast.com) — A North Richland Hills resident, Francisco Mena, has been sentenced to 33 months in federal prison for repeatedly posting online threats to kill former President Donald Trump and harm federal immigration officers. Prosecutors detailed numerous violent messages, while his attorneys unsuccessfully argued the posts were protected speech under the First Amendment.
