City leaders say the refund equals about a week's average household use and could cover the entire bill for roughly 30% of residential customers, though businesses and yard meters aren't included.

Odessa City Council responds to blowback regarding potential Bike Park closure (yourbasin.com) — Odessa officials are weighing whether to sell the land used by the long-running Odessa Mountain Bike Park, prompting passionate pushback from riders and families at this week's City Council meeting. The city says there's no formal offer yet and promises to help relocate the park if the lease ends, while a petition to keep it has drawn nearly 2,000 signatures.
