Harmony Science Academy-Odessa Teacher Named National Winner of Simple Modern’s Stock Your School Campaign

ODESSA, Texas — Harmony Public Schools is proud to announce that Japhia Zafra Venerable, an elementary teacher at Harmony Science Academy-Odessa, has been named one of 10 national winners of Simple Modern’s Stock Your School campaign.

Venerable was selected from educators across all 50 states following a nationwide campaign that received more than 775,000 votes. Her achievement brought nearly $20,000 in grants and supplies to benefit students, teachers, and staff at Harmony Science Academy-Odessa.

Through the recognition, the campus received reusable water bottles for all students, Getaway Bags for teachers and staff, a $500 Amazon classroom award to help fulfill Venerable’s classroom wish list, and a $1,000 grant for the school.

These resources will support classroom and schoolwide needs while providing useful everyday supplies for students and staff.

“This recognition is a celebration not only of Ms. Venerable’s dedication and impact, but also of the entire Harmony community that supported her throughout the campaign,” said Yuksel Kocak, Harmony Science Academy-Odessa Principal.

“When Harmony teachers win, Harmony students win. We are incredibly proud of Ms. Venerable and grateful for the opportunities these resources will provide our students and staff.”
