Curing The Post New Year' Eve Hangover
Celebrate too much? Here are a few things to help you recover after tying one on.

HOUSTON, TX — Celebrating the New Year often involves the mass consumption of adult beverages, and while it seems fun in the very beginning, the feeling you have the next morning leaves a lot to be desired.
In fact, those who indulge in celebrating and consuming mass quantities of alcohol to ring in the New Year have described the after effects — commonly referred to as the morning after hangover — of spinning and dizziness, nausea, a pounding head.
Call it the flu times 10, only this is self induced and probably cost you a fortune.

Of course, there are a ton of remedies that many swear by, but there are a few universal remedies that will help get you back to normal in a snap.
- Sleep: A lot of rest after tying one on is essential to getting your body back in sync and filtering out the alcohol
- Drink lots of Water or Juice: Some will swear that drinking water or juice just makes your drunk or sick, but alcohol will cause dehydration and robs your body of essential vitamins. It’s best to alternate the juice and water
- Avoid Caffeine: You are already dehydrated, and this won’t make your headache any better.
- Take Vitamins: Take a multivitamin and swallow with sips of orange juice.
- Eat Something: Yes, you have to eat. Some swear by chicken soup and crackers, or menudo.
- Exercise: No need to run a marathon. Just light stretching to get the blood flowing and later a walk to sweat out those alcohol toxins.
- No Painkillers: Over the counter pain relievers can cause harm of there is still alcohol in your system.
- Stay Away From The Hair Of the Dog: Alcohol is the last thing you need.
Of course, if you must drunk the night before, drinking in moderation will help you avoid a hangover altogether.
