Manhunt Ends: Two Men Arrested In Shooting Death Of Alvin Man

Jamie Posada and Ricardo Posada were arrested Tuesday afternoon and charged in the shooting death of Pancho Esparza

ALVIN, TX — Two Houston men are in the Galveston County Jail charged in the shooting death of a man outside a local gardening center Tuesday.

Investigators arrested 23-year-old Jamie Posada and 21-year-old Ricardo Posada in the shooting death of 64-year old Pancho Esparza Tuesday afternoon.

Esparza was shot multiple times outside Barber’s Nursery in the 3300 block of W. FM 517.

The men said they were asked by a third man to commit a burglary there, and were not intending to hurt anyone when the shooting happened.

Investigators announced late Tuesday that the men were arrested and considered persons of interest, but both were charged Wednesday afternoon.

Both men are being held in the Galveston County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond each on a charge of aggravated robbery, according to a KPRC report

Police are still searching for the third suspect.
