• Join Pharr PD for the 4th Annual 'Mind Matters' Fair, May 15th (texasborderbusiness.com) — Pharr residents are invited to the Pharr Police Department’s free Mind Matters Health Fair this Friday, May 15, from 6–8 p.m. at the Pharr ONE French Garden on Nolana Loop. The family-friendly event will spotlight mental health resources, offer raffles and activities, and connect neighbors with local organizations focused on wellness and community support.
   

• United Way Investment: $11,000 Boost for The PossAble Dream Foundation (texasborderbusiness.com) — In Pharr, The PossAble Dream Adult High School has received an $11,000 Community Impact Grant from United Way of South Texas to help pay for students’ graduation regalia and industry certifications. The tuition-free school serves adults 18–50 finishing high school while training for in-demand careers, and community leaders say the funding will directly support students’ futures.
   

• McAllen Police Searching for Two Armed Robbery Suspects (texasborderbusiness.com) — McAllen police are searching for two aggravated robbery suspects, including one man whose last known address is in Pharr, and are asking local residents for tips. Officers say the pair allegedly robbed a victim at gunpoint while recovering property at a McAllen apartment complex on May 4. Anyone with information can anonymously contact McAllen Crime Stoppers or use the P3 Tips app.
