Every Child's Hope Receives Gift of $76,697

Every Child's Hope (ECH) received a gift of $76,697 this week through its annual golf tournament at Old Hickory Golf Club in St. Charles from Plaza Motors, the premier luxury automotive group and an ongoing partner to ECH, which provides support to vulnerable children throughout Missouri.

Plaza Motors presented the check at the dinner ceremony following the golf tournament on September 18. Plaza Motors, under the umbrella of Plaza Cares, the automotive group’s dedicated community initiatives program, provided volunteers to staff the golf tournament, golfers for three foursomes, and sponsorship of four holes featuring Plaza Motors’ luxury vehicles.

Guests also had the opportunity to visit the Plaza Cares tent for exciting giveaways that included a luxurious two-night stay at the Four Seasons Hotel, a weekend use of a vehicle from Plaza of the brand of winner’s choosing, and gift cards for exquisite local fine dining experiences.

Participants also received specially curated swag bags, reinforcing the longstanding partnership between Plaza Motors and ECH. Plaza Motors have been steadfast partners of ECH, with initiatives ranging from painting fences and organizing the ECH on-campus store, to assisting in the relocation of their office. Last year, in the spirit of the holiday season, Plaza Cares ensured that all ECH children were gifted Christmas presents.

Founded in 1858 by Rev. Louis Nollau, every Child's Hope began as a sanctuary for orphans affected by the cholera outbreaks, originally known as the German Protestant Orphan's Home. From sheltering a single orphaned boy within the confines of a St. Louis church to housing over 300 orphans by the mid-1860s at its present location on St. Charles Rock Road, the organization has evolved considerably. Renamed the Evangelical Children’s Home in 1945, it reshaped its services to meet the dynamic needs of St. Louis's youth. No longer an orphanage in the traditional sense, ECH's essence remains unchanged: a commitment to the well-being of vulnerable children. With over 200 dedicated staff members across its St. Louis and Kansas City campuses, ECH stands as a beacon of hope for over 1,400 youths annually. Their mission is to prevent child abuse, address emotional traumas, mental health issues, and offer aftercare and follow-up services.
