Otsukimi Japanese Moon Viewing Festival in Plano Sept. 26 (ntxe-news.com) — Haggard Park in downtown Plano will come alive this Saturday night with the free Otsukimi Japanese Moon Viewing Festival, featuring 13 food vendors and extensive cultural performances. Families can enjoy anime programming, taiko drumming, sumo demonstrations, children's activities, and more from 6–10 p.m. Organizers encourage reserving free tickets and suggest taking DART's Red Line directly to the park.

Plano police chief wants Flock cameras back after funding ends – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth (nbcdfw.com) — Plano residents have lost the city's 90 Flock license plate reader cameras after Governor Abbott halted state funding, leaving police without a tool they credit for record-low crime. Chief Ed Drain says Plano may need to self-fund the $300,000-a-year system and is watching the Legislature, while exploring alternatives like a drone-as-first-responder program to keep crime down.

College of Bishops to weigh Western Gulf Coast deadlock alongside disciplinary sentences in Plano (anglican.ink) — Plano is hosting a special five-day meeting of the Anglican Church in North America's College of Bishops, where leaders will resolve a deadlocked bishop election and decide sentences in two high-profile disciplinary cases. While the issues are church-wide, the gathering brings significant denominational attention and visitors to Plano this week, with outcomes expected in a communiqué after Friday.
