• Prosper data center faces opposition after 7-0 commission vote – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth (nbcdfw.com) — A proposed data center near Prosper has hit a major roadblock after the town's Planning and Zoning Commission voted 7–0 to recommend the Town Council deny it. Residents and neighbors raised concerns about noise, light, water use, and environmental impacts, while developers argue it would bring jobs and infrastructure upgrades; the final decision comes before Prosper Town Council on Sept. 8. 
• Texas Sixth Grader Wins National School Bus Safety Poster Contest (stnonline.com) — A Prosper sixth grader from Moseley Middle School has won the top national prize in the 2026 National School Bus Safety Poster Contest, putting the town in a positive national spotlight. Her artwork, built around the theme "Safe Rides, Everyday Heroes," will be featured during National School Bus Safety Week and helps promote safer behavior around school buses nationwide.
