• Sherry Lynn Brundrett Chilcote (southtexasnews.com) — Rockport readers are remembering Sherry Lynn Brundrett Chilcote, who grew up in Rockport and graduated from Rockport‑Fulton High School before a life devoted to family, music, and dog rescue. The longtime Richardson resident, known for saving hundreds of dogs through Big Dog Rescue, died April 11 at 78. Her family suggests memorial donations to Big Dog Rescue in her honor.
