• Rockwall ISD Art Students Shine at 2026 Junior VASE Regional Event (blueribbonnews.com) — Rockwall ISD middle school artists just brought home major honors from the 2026 Junior VASE regional competition, including several coveted Platinum Medals. Seventy Rockwall ISD students also earned top “Superior” ratings, reflecting the strength of local art programs and the dedication of district art teachers supporting these young creatives. 
• AFA Awards Excellence in Texas Students, Educators, and Community Partners - Air & Space Forces Association (afa.org) — Local Civil Air Patrol cadets, including one from Rockwall’s Lakeshore Squadron, were honored alongside students and educators at a Northeast Texas Air & Space Forces Association event that awarded $10,500 in scholarships. Community partners, STEM programs, and a Greenville teacher named Texas State Teacher of the Year were also recognized for expanding science and service opportunities across the region.
