114 Votes Lost To Malfunctioning Ballot Box To Be Counted

Judge Ryan D. Larson of the 395th District Court ruled the lost votes will be re-tabulated to reflect true Nov. 6 election results.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS — A judge on Monday ordered that 114 votes salvaged from a voting machine that malfunctioned during early voting be recounted and added to the final election night results.

The votes will be added to the final results of the Nov. 6 Joint General and Special Election, Judge Ryan D. Larson of the 395th District Court ruled. The recount and retabulation took place at 10 a.m. Monday morning in the Tabulation Room of the Williamson County Elections Department.

Immediately after the recount and retabulation take place, the Williamson County Elections Department will upload the revised Election Night results to the county website and notify all entities that will be canvassing on Monday and Tuesday of the final election night results.

The Commissioners Court will canvas the election returns on Tuesday, Nov. 20, during their regular meeting beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the historic courthouse, 710 S. Main St. in Georgetown, Texas.
