Colorado Hydration Packs Provider Moves HQ To Round Rock

Top executive at Orange Mud suggested move to 'sports capital of Texas' is better fit than its current base.

ROUND ROCK, TX — Officials at Orange Mud, a provider of running/biking hydration packs, announced on Wednesday the relocation of the company's headquarters from Colorado to Round Rock.

The company also has moved its warehouse operations to Texas, company officials added in a press advisory. Given its self-described billing as the "sports capital of Texas" given the plethora of athletic events staged there, Round Rock would seem a natural fit for the hydration packs distributor, as a top executive suggested.

“We’ve been very fortunate to continue our growth year after year, so much that we were using three backup warehouses, plus our primary in Colorado,” Josh Sprague, Orange Mud’s CEO, said in a prepared statement. “Colorado was a great home base for us, but for a variety of reasons we chose the Round Rock (Austin area) area for year-round amazing trail access, strong central distribution management, and the brand new building was easily customized just perfect for our growth plans."

Sprague noted the efficiency in operations the move will yield: “We now have one central office and warehouse in Round Rock, which has streamlined our efficiency and we’re happy to have successfully pulled off multiple semi-trailers of product movement with no shipping disruptions to our customer base. This change made a huge step in business efficiency, not to mention the new warehouse/office is a very fun and vibrant orange layout," he said. "All employees were moved with the business as well, which we are very proud of.”
