Coronavirus: WilCo Illness Count Grows To 81, 3rd Death Reported
The Williamson County and Cities Health Department said a woman in her 60s is the latest to succumb from COVID-19 infection.
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — Williamson County health officials on Monday reported four more cases of coronavirus in the region and a third death from the respiratory illness.
The resident succumbing to the COVID-19 infection was described as a woman in her 60s. No further details were provided given the nature of privacy protection laws. In addition, Williamson County and Cities Health Department officials confirmed four new positive COVID-19 cases, bringing the total to 81.
News of the fatality comes one day after health officials confirmed the second county death from the virus on Sunday, described as a man in his 50s. Officials revealed the first death on March 28 as a man in his 70s.

Additional COVID-19 deaths and cases are reported on a health dashboard located at www.wcchd.org/COVID-19/dashboard.php that is updated around noon each day. Cases in "Other cities in Williamson County" column are a combined total that include cities with populations below 20,000 and unincorporated Williamson to protect the privacy of residents, officials noted.

That dashboard provides figures related to city of residency of those afflicted, the incidences of illness per age group and the male-to-female infection ratio. COVID-19 cases have been reported in cities across the county, including:
- Round Rock: 31 cases, the highest level in the county.
- Cedar Park: 12 cases.
- Leander: 11 cases.
- Georgetown: 10.
- Hutto: 6.
- Other: 2.
Nine patients diagnosed in the county reside in Austin, according to the dashboard data.
