Ex-Round Rock Middle School Principal Arrested For Soliciting A Minor For Sex

ROUND ROCK, TX β A man who previously served as principal at a Round Rock ISD middle school until last year was arrested in Arizona this week after allegedly soliciting girls for sex, according to a published report.
Karl Waggoner, 59, was arrested Tuesday near Four Peaks Elementary School near Phoenix where he had just been hired as principal, the sheriff's office there told the Austin American-Statesman. According to police records, Waggoner was charged with luring a minor for sex.
Waggoner was principal at West Ridge Middle Schoolβs principal at the Eanes school district for nine years before being reassigned to the same post at Westlake High School in 2012, the newspaper reported. Later, he worked at Anderson High School as associate principal in 2014 before being hired by the Round Rock school district as principal of Hopewell Middle School until 2016, when the Round Rock district named him the associate director of administrative projects, according to the report.
