Final 'Round Rock 2030' Community Meeting Scheduled March 5, 2019

Last chance to hear more about the municipal growth plan comes on Tuesday, March 5, at Allen R. Baca Center, 301 W. Bagdad Ave.

ROUND ROCK, TEXAS — The last quadrant meeting during which residents can learn more about the cit's comprehensive plan dubbed "Round Rock 2030" is scheduled on Tuesday evening.

About 300 residents have attended the series of quadrant meetings since they were kicked off in early February. For the last such meeting — the final opportunity residents will have to learn of the city's methodical growth plan — anyone who hasn't attended a previous Round Rock 2030 meeting is invited to attend, regardless of whether or not they live in the targeted quadrant of participation, officials said.

The gathering is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, March 6, at the Allen R. Baca Center Dining Room, 301 W. Bagdad Ave., Building 2, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A formal presentation will include an opportunity for attendees to participate in an interactive poll using their cell phones.

"The plan will create a vision for what Round Rock might look like in the year 2030 by providing a framework for future development based on the feedback provided by residents," city officials said in a press advisory. "These meetings are the first step in formulating our plan, which is expected to be adopted in spring 2020. We will be offering a few other ways to get involved in the future."
