Hopdoddy Marks Opening With 'Code 7 Burger' Sandwiched With Doughnuts

Because why stop your artery clogging at either one when you can have both.

ROUND ROCK, TX -- Officials at popular eatery Hopdoddy, a hamburger maker, are celebrating their new Round Rock location by partnering with homegrown pastry provider Round Rock Donuts for a menu item combining both decadent food products.

Dubbed the “Code 7 burger,” the new offering is named for the code police use for their fabled coffee and donut run while on patrol guarding the streets.

The culinary creation consists of an Angus patty, Tillamook cheddar cheese, Applewood smoked bacon and a fried egg all sandwiched between two Round Rock glazed donuts.

The “burger” is available only during its Jan. 22-23 promotional period. Only 35 of the artery-clogging abominations will be made per day, at a cost of $11 each.

In their press release announcing the menu monstrosity, Hopdoddy did not disclose the calorie count of their new creation. And I think we all know why.

Hopdoddy-Round Rock opened its doors on Monday at 2600 Hoppe Trail.

For its part, Round Rock Donuts is a local fixture dating to the 1940s with a flagship location at 106 W. Liberty Ave. Their signature glazed offering was once deemed the best doughnut in the state by Texas Monthly magazine.

As of press time, it was unclear if defibrillator pads will be made available to patrons or if ambulances will be on standby.
