Police Seek To Solve Cold Case After WilCo Woman's Disappearance
On the 18th-year anniversary of the disappearance of Rachel Cooke, 'persons of interest' sketches are released and a ceremony is staged.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — The sheriff's office on Friday released sketches of "persons of interest" in connection to the disappearance of a Williamson County woman — a case that has gone unsolved since occurring 18 years ago today.
The sketches were released ahead of a remembrance ceremony for the woman, Rachel Cooke, who disappeared the morning of Jan. 10, 2002, after the 19-year-old went out for a job. The noon ceremony took place at Georgetown High School, 2211 N. Austin Ave.
Cooke is believed to have exited her home at 9:30 a.m., and was last seen some 200 yards from her home. She was wearing a gray running outfit, Asics running shoes and toted a yellow Walkman to listen to music as she jogged. She was described at the time as standing five feet, three inches tall and weighing 115 pounds. Law enforcement officials previously said she also had two heart-shaped cherries tattooed on her left foot.
