Round Rock Chamber Names VP Of Community Enhancement

She's tasked to deliver results for four chamber pillars: business climate, entrepreneurship, infrastructure and talent development

ROUND ROCK, TX — Amy Mizcles has joined the Round Rock Chamber as vice president of community enhancement, officials said.

In that role, Mizcles will be responsible for delivering results for four of the chamber's eight pillars of economic generation: business climate, entrepreneurship, infrastructure, and talent development, according to chamber officials.

"In her role as vice president of community enhancement, she provides leadership on issues that enrich the overall business environment as well as represents us on the federal, state, regional, and local levels through coalition work, direct lobbying, and grassroots organizing," chamber officials said. "She also oversees the execution of our Leadership Round Rock and Ascend programs."

Mizcles said she looked forward to taking on the chamber's goals: “I am thrilled to be joining the Round Rock Chamber and am looking forward to working with our team and investors to continue our work of leading economic generation for our great city,” she said.

Mizcles earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Environmental Studies from Baylor University and a Master of Science in Social Work, Community, and Administrative Leadership from the University of Texas at Austin. Prior formerly served as executive director of Behavioral Health Advocates of Texas. Prior to that, Amy worked in the nonprofit sector where she held various positions with increasing levels of responsibility at a statewide nonprofit including director of governmental affairs, interim executive director and executive director.

The Round Rock Chamber describes itself as "...one of the largest and most active business organizations in Central Texas" with approximately 1,000 investors collectively employ more than 25,000 people in the area among its membership ranks.
