Round Rock Girls Who Were Abducted To Be Placed In Foster Care
Texas Department of Family and Protective Services will care for girls whose mother was killed until a good home for them can be found.

ROUND ROCK, TX — The two sisters abducted in Round Rock before being found safe in Colorado will be placed in foster care for the time being, according to published reports.
The two girls, 14-year-old Lili Griffith and 7-year-old Lulu Bandera-Margret, will be in the foster care program until their guardians are selected among family members and friends, KXAN an other media outlets reported. A foster case hearing is scheduled to take place Jan. 16 in Williamson County, officials at the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services confirmed.
The two girls were the subject of an Amber Alert following their abduction after their mother, 44-year-old Tonya Bates, was slain inside her home on Leslie Court on Dec. 31. Terry Allen Miles, 44, who was living with the girls and their mother has since been charged with kidnapping the girls, and is a "person of interest" in their mom's homicide.
