Round Rock Police ID Suspects Accused Of Robbing Jewelry Store

ROUND ROCK, TX β€” Police on Thursday identified the two suspects in a jewelry store heist from the day before, an incident that led to a police chase during which a gun was pointed at officers.

Bryan Christopher Everage, 31, and Elkaneh Emmanuel Hendrix, 35, have been identified as the individuals who entered the Stall Jewelers store, 1110 N. Interstate Hwy 35, just before noon on Wednesday, holding employees at gunpoint, police said. One suspect is said to have taken one of the employees to the back of the store and firing a single round into the ground, police noted.

As officers arrived on scene, both suspects fled on a motorcycle traveling northbound on the southbound frontage road. During the pursuit, the passenger pointed a weapon at officers several times, according to the police account.

In an effort to neutralize the suspects and put an end to the dangerous chase, one officer bumped the motorcycle with his vehicle as the suspects' vehicle turned onto FM 620, sending both occupants tumbling to the ground. The driver was immediately taken into custody while the second suspect was subsequently arrested after a foot chase, police said.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident, police said. Both suspects have been charged with evading arrest with a vehicle, aggravated assault against a public servant and aggravated robbery. The case remains under investigation, police noted.

In the aftermath of the police chase, the roadway at FM 620 and Chisholm Trail were closed for about two hours to accommodate a police investigation.
