Elderly Round Rock Man Who Went Missing Found Dead
Daniel Eaves, 77, had last been seen Saturday driving a black Toyota RAV4 before his body was found along Brushy Creek on Sunday.

ROUND ROCK, TX — An elderly Round Rock man who had gone missing has been found dead, police said on Sunday.
The Round Rock Police Department early Sunday afternoon said the body of Daniel Eaves, 77, was found that morning after he was reported missing on Saturday. Police said the man's body was found along Brushy Creek near the intersection of Red Bud Lane and East Palm Valley Boulevard.
Officials noted the man's death did not appear to be suspicious. In an earlier plea to the public in helping locate the man, police noted he had a number of health issues that heightened concern as to his whereabouts. He had last been seen leaving his home a black Toyota RAV4.

Although it's unclear what caused the man's death, temperatures in Central Texas have registered in the high 90s for the past several days. The scorching heat has prompted emergency officials to remind people to stay hydrated if they are outdoors, with a number of rescues in the last few days by medics occurring at area park trails for people succumbing to heat stroke or exhaustion.
The same day Eaves' body was found, medics were dispatched to Walnut Creek Park to rescue a man in his 60s who sustained injuries after falling along a trail. The man was transported tohe hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Round Rock Police Department issued the plea for help on Saturday, saying Daniel Eaves, 77, was last seen at his home that same day. Police added the man left his home driving a black Toyota RAV4 vehicle. Officials did not provide an address where the man was last seen.
