Teen Dies After Fatal Round Rock Shooting, Suspect Arrested
Police IDed the victim of a shooting on Tuesday at Ashwood Court as Brian Navarro, 17, and the suspect as Gabriel Hernandez, 17.
ROUND ROCK, TX — A teenager was arrested this week in the fatal shooting of another teen in Round Rock that occurred on Tuesday, police said.
The incident occurred at around 1 p.m.on Tuesday, March 3, along the 1500 block of Ashwood Court, police said. The victim has been identified as Brian Navarro, 17. Police identified the suspect as Gabriel Hernandez, 17, who has been arrested for murder. Police did not release details as to what may may have led to the shooting, but said the two involved in the incident knew each other.
Police said their investigation continues.

In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, police initially said the victim had been wounded after he was located at a nearby hospital suffering from a gunshot wound. By Wednesday, police updated that the teenager had succumbed to his injuries.
