Tips On Road Rage Gunfire Incident Sought By Round Rock Police

A driver was shot after a collision on Sunday, Dec. 15, at around 11 p.m. along the 1300-block of North A.W. Grimes Boulevard, police said.

ROUND ROCK, TX — The Round Rock Police Department is seeking information from the public in connection to a collision that took place over the weekend.

The crash occurred on Sunday, Dec. 15, at around 11 p.m. along the 1300-block of North A.W. Grimes Boulevard where a vehicle struck an electrical pole. During the incident, a driver sustained a gunshot injury that may have stemmed from a road rage incident, police said. The shooting victim was transported to the hospital, and is currently in stable condition.

In a related front, deputies on Wednesday afternoon were searching for a possibly discarded gun the sheriff's office said may have been tossed in a road rage incident. The search for the firearm was near the Ranch Road 620/Great Oaks area, but it's unclear if the two incidents are related.
