Williamson County Offers Mental Health First Aid Class
'Mental Health First Aid can save a life, just like CPR can save someone having a heart attack,' county health officials assert in notice.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS — Williamson County’s Behavior Health Task Force encourages people to learn more about mental health and how to help people in a mental health crisis.
To that end, a free 8-hour Mental Health First Aid class is being offered on Saturday, Jan. 26 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the community room at the J.B. and Hallie Jester Williamson County Annex, 1801 E. Old Settlers Blvd., in Round Rock.
Those registering for the class will learn about warning signs, symptoms and risk factors associated with mental illness as well as a 5-step action plan to help someone in crisis or showing signs of mental illness. "Mental Health First Aid can save a life, just like CPR can save someone having a heart attack," county officials asserted in a press advisory.
