Downtown protest takes place in response to ICE shooting in Austin (news4sanantonio.com) — San Antonio demonstrators gathered downtown near the federal courthouse and police headquarters to protest an ICE shooting of a migrant in Austin and call for court proceedings for detainees. Participants urged ending cooperation between SAPD and the Bexar County Sheriff's Office with immigration enforcement and pushed for limits on ICE traffic stops, even as current Texas law restricts local action.
