4. Alex Garcia and Chuck Miketinac no longer with FOX San Antonio KABB (blogspot.com) — Two familiar faces at FOX San Antonio KABB, chief meteorologist Alex Garcia and sports director Chuck Miketinac, appear to be out after Sinclair's recent layoffs, with their bios removed from the station's website. Both men spent decades covering weather and sports for San Antonio viewers, building long local careers that also included work at rival stations and in education.
   

5. Downtown protest takes place in response to ICE shooting in Austin (news4sanantonio.com) — San Antonio demonstrators gathered downtown near the federal courthouse and police headquarters to protest an ICE shooting of a migrant in Austin and call for court proceedings for detainees. Participants urged ending cooperation between SAPD and the Bexar County Sheriff's Office with immigration enforcement and pushed for limits on ICE traffic stops, even as current Texas law restricts local action.
