“I applaud the Mayor’s commitment to the RAC and look forward to working closely with its members as they continue the important task of ensuring a more equitable rate structure and rate design for its customers,” said Councilwoman Sandoval. “The generation planning work done by the RAC will also be critical as we move towards ending the use of coal by CPS Energy.”
As liaison, the Councilwoman will communicate with the RAC chair and the CPS Energy Board Liaison to the RAC and will also provide regular updates on RAC progress to the City’s Municipal Utilities Committee, on which she serves. The RAC’s major priorities include revising the rate structure and making recommendations on generation planning.
