SAN ANTONIO (August 23, 2021) – The National Safety Council selected the City of San Antonio, Office of Risk Management, to receive the 2021 Our Driving Concern Texas Employer Safety Award in recognition of the City’s outstanding commitment to keeping its employees safe on Texas roads. The award was received in July during the 2021 Texas A&M Traffic Safety Conference.

Presented annually in conjunction with the Texas Department of Transportation, this traffic safety award honors Texas organizations who embrace driver and transportation safety training to reduce crash incidents, decrease liability risk and, most importantly, save lives.

“These employers are showing us the way,” said DeAnn Crane, National Safety Council and Our Driving Concern program manager. “They have set the gold standard of achievement in the field of employee education and transportation safety training. They serve as models for other Texas employers to emulate. And they know zero is the only acceptable number – zero crashes, zero injuries, zero fatalities.” For more information visit: https://txdrivingconcern.org/
