SAN ANTONIO (Sept. 27, 2021) - The month of October designated as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The San Antonio Municipal Court has scheduled a Domestic Violence Warrant Resolution Campaign that will run from October 4, 2021 through October 15, 2021. This week 4,000 postcards were mailed to individuals with warrants for offenses involving family violence. Appearance must be in person on the dates listed on the card from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Failure to appear on the designated date will subject an individual to be arrested at home, work or wherever he or she may be found.
In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we remind the public of the warning signs of domestic violence and ways victims can seek help and/or shelter. This month also provides another opportunity to educate and engage the community and help people learn more about types of domestic abuse and how the community can break the abuse cycle.
