🌱 Music In SA + Morgan's Wonderland Camp + Mega Animal Adoption Event

Here are the top stories today in San Antonio:

  1. San Antonio is alive with the sound of live music this week! From Americana to traditional country, pop or rock, there's something for all music fans to enjoy! For a list of options with details, please visit: (San Antonio Current)
  2. This week, Morgan's Wonderland Camp, located at 23400 Cibolo Vista, is hosting "the Pediatric Pain Warrior family summer camp." Camp officials expect "more than 200 kids and teens, along with their parents or caregivers" to participate. The camp is geared for kids "with chronic conditions or serious injuries that cause pain."   3. On Saturday, June 25, a free mega animal "Rescue United Adoption Event" will take place from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. at the San Antonio Shrine Auditorium, located at 901 N Loop 1604 W. Many animals will be available for adoption, and "13 animal rescue groups" and "pet-related vendors" will be participating in the event. More at: (KSAT San Antonio)
  4. "Port San Antonio, a growing technology hub, is about to launch three new projects." They include a new office building, a vertiport and a research building. They are hoping "to have the groundbreaking for these new projects next year and completed by 2025." The port and the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will also offer free summer workshops "so people can learn more about how to do business with the port."   5. Austin entrepreneurs Wade Nguyen and Rouhi Alameddine "plan to add to the growing bar district on North Alamo Street" in San Antonio. The project includes converting "a cluster of buildings at 901 N. Alamo St. into four bars." Plans for the bars include having "a performance venue, a sports bar, a cocktail bar, a DJ venue and a bar in an old house sitting on the property." According to Alameddine, "Each of the bars will be in an existing structure." They hope "to start renovation work in the next several months" and open the first bar "around the end of the year."
