Suspect accused of assaulting 18-year-old girl arrested after standoff with SWAT deputies (foxsanantonio.com) — A SWAT standoff on Timmermann Road in Seguin ended peacefully when deputies arrested a 22-year-old Luling man accused of threatening his pregnant ex-girlfriend and her mother with a gun. Guadalupe County deputies say no one was hurt, but they kept the area blocked off while collecting evidence and considering additional charges, and they’re praising their special operations team’s response. 
2. Seguin moving forward with plans for Fire Station No. 4 (seguintoday.com) — Seguin is moving ahead with Fire Station No. 4, the city’s first fire station north of I-10, to better serve rapidly growing neighborhoods. Designs are nearly finalized, a construction manager will be hired soon, and the new station in Walnut Springs Subdivision is planned with room for future expansion and a 2028 completion.

'Learn the kiddos' names': Seguin bus drivers learn mental health de-escalation techniques (kens5.com) — Seguin ISD bus drivers are getting new mental health and de-escalation training from the Seguin Police Department to better support students and prevent conflicts on school buses. Drivers are learning calmer communication, relationship-building, and early warning signs so they can respond before situations escalate, strengthening daily safety for Seguin families.
