Loved for her cooking, “Sue’s Corner,” and devotion to her grandchildren, she will be laid to rest at Farley Chapel Cemetery in Shepherd following services in Cleveland on Saturday, June 6.

• TxDOT provides construction updates (easttexasnews.com) — Drivers in and around Shepherd should expect ongoing cable-barrier work along US 59 between Corrigan and Shepherd, plus other TxDOT projects that may slow traffic. The update also details bridge, guardrail, and county road work in nearby Polk and San Jacinto counties, with schedules subject to weather and materials. Motorists are urged to slow down and follow work-zone signs.
