• Sherman man arrested for burglary and assault on officer (kdhnews.com) — A Sherman resident was arrested after police say he forced his way into an apartment on West Taylor Street, was detained by citizens, and then allegedly assaulted an officer while being taken into custody. He now faces multiple felony charges and is held in Grayson County Jail on a $105,000 bond, with police emphasizing that no major injuries were reported. 
• Full Eastside Lamberth Drive intersection closure notification (ntxe-news.com) — Expect a long-term full closure of the US 75 northbound frontage road and Lamberth Drive intersection in Sherman from 8 p.m. tonight through June 15. TxDOT has set up detours and is urging drivers to slow down, follow all barricades and signs, and stay alert for road crews while traveling through this busy construction zone.
• Boat Explodes Near Miami, Injuring a Dozen People (insurancejournal.com) — A charter boat that exploded near Miami over the weekend, injuring about a dozen people, was identified as a 40-foot cabin cruiser based in Sherman. While the blast happened in Biscayne Bay, the vessel’s Sherman connection makes the ongoing investigation and any updates especially relevant for local boating and travel communities.
