Man Found Dead With Girl In Southern Travis County Killed Himself
After a 911 call to check on his and a girl's well-being, Yariv Kaplan, 42, was found dead of a gunshot wound along with dead minor.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX β Sheriff's officials on Tuesday said the man found dead alongside a girl in southwest Travis County died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The Travis County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call on Monday at around 5:45 a.m. requesting they check on the well-being of a man and girl in a house at 8001 El Dorado. The first deputy on scene got no response after knocking on the door, but determined the occupants needed immediate assistance after peering through a window.
Upon entry, deputies found the bodies of a man and girl. The sheriff's office has identified the adult male as Yariv Kaplan, 42, of Travis County. The name and age of the girl have not been disclosed. Both bodies had sustained fatal gunshot wounds, police said.

Evidence at the scene suggests Kaplan's injury was self-inflicted, officials said in a press advisory. The final ruling regarding cause and manner of death is pending toxicology results by the Travis County Medical Examinerβs Office, officials said.
