Police Seek To Solve South Austin SWAT Case Turned Deadly

Cops set up a perimeter around a home where a man had holed himself up only to find him dead of fatal injuries once entering the home.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — Police seek help from the public in a case involving the death of a man who had barricaded himself inside his home before SWAT team members breached the home to find his body riddled with fatal wounds earlier this week.

The case dates to Feb. 5, when EMS medics received a call just past 4 p.m. about a female patient who was bleeding heavily from her head. The woman was located at a neighbor's residence at 3005 Fontana Dr.

Medics determined the woman had sustained a penetrating wound. Moreover, her possible assailant was located at the Fontana home —prompting police to establish a secure perimeter around the home while evacuating neighbors. A SWAT team was called after attempts to reach the suspect — identified by police on Wednesday as Kenneth "Kyle Keller, 47 — were unsuccessful.
