Investigators Release Sketch Of Kidnapping Suspect

The unidentified man attempted to kidnap a 16-year girl as she walked down the street in Coles Crossing in Cypress.

CYPRESS, TX — Harris County Sheriff’s Office investigators are asking the public’s help in identifying a subject who attempted to abduct a juvenile female while out walking in her neighborhood.

On Sunday, Oct 15, at about 4 p.m., a 16-year old girl was walking through the Coles Crossing subdivision and was at the intersection of Closewood Terrace Blvd and Ashland Landing Drive, when a black Ford F-150 pulled up and stopped in front of her.

The driver of the pickup, described as a heavy set, middle-aged white man, with short brown hair, a clean shaven face and a deep voice, exited the vehicle and asked for directions.

The driver ultimately raised his shirt and exposed a large knife, which was in a sheath, and threatened her with death if she did not get into his pickup.

The girl, in fear for her life, got into his pickup and they began to drive off.

When the vehicle came to a stop, she opened the door and ran, and flagged down a nearby resident and asked them to call 9-1-1.

Photos of the pickup were captured on video surveillance cameras and the girl was able to provide investigator with a good description and help with the composite sketch..

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the charging and/or arrest of the suspect in this case.
