  1. Sugar Land is one step closer to getting an expanded trail system as the trails should have names soon. Three Sugar Land City Council members joined the naming committee at a recent council meeting. (Community Impact Newspaper)
  2. Red Circle Ice Cream is set to open in Sugar Land in mid-October. The dessert shop features over 100 rotating flavors of handcrafted ice cream, as well as sorbet, ice cream-filled macarons, churros, bubble waffles and Thai teas. (Community Impact Newspaper)
  3. Amazon donated $20,000 for a community garden at Four Corners Recreation Center in Sugar Land, and City Council members accepted a check at a recent meeting. Amazon also is opening a distribution center in Richmond. (Community Impact Newspaper)
  4. A man has been charged with murder Wednesday after the remains of Ashley Guillory were found in Fort Bend County on Tuesday. Guillory had been missing since Sept. 4. (Houston Patch)
