• Fort Bend ISD maintains 'B' accountability rating from the TEA (communityimpact.com) — Families in Sugar Land served by Fort Bend ISD can see how their district performed, with the TEA awarding the district an overall 'B' rating and an improved score of 82 for 2025-26. Most campuses earned at least a 'C,' several improved a full letter grade, and no schools received an 'F,' giving parents useful context on local academic performance. 
• Astros' abbreviated starts taking toll on weary bullpen (mlb.com) — Sugar Land baseball fans should know Astros starter Mike Burrows is nearing a return after rehabbing with Triple-A Sugar Land, where he's thrown nine scoreless innings so far. With Houston's rotation struggling to pitch deep into games, his progress could be key relief for a bullpen that's been heavily taxed during a long stretch without days off.
