South Texas Floods: 20 Inches In 48 Hours
Areas around Corpus Christi are being slammed with rain, with about 20 inches of rainfall in 48 hours in one area.

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — South Texas is seeing some heavy flooding after tons of rain dumped on coastal towns this week. Up to 15 inches has fallen on some areas, the National Weather Service said, onto already wet lands.
The Corpus Christi area was hit the hardest specifically western Refugio County, which has seen as much as 20 inches over 48 hours. The National Weather Service issued a warning saying "This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW!"
CNN reports heavy flooding in McAllen where hundreds of migrants are in detention, seeking entry into the U.S. The facility hasn't reported any problems.

The AP reported an Orange County man, Chris Jenkins, had just moved back into his home in March after recovering from Hurricane Harvey. His house was flooded again with about six inches of water.
"Nothing can prepare you for it," Jenkins told KHOU.

High water in some South Texas towns left some people stranded in their cars. The AP reports several people in Corpus Christi have had to be rescued from their vehicles.
